CPA; Retired VP Internal Audit, Parsons Corporation Married 3 1966 2013-03-13 13:31:22
After graduating from Carroll College, I married my college sweetheart, Janet Flesch, from Shelby, MT. I got drafted into the US Army and served in the military from 1967 to 1969. I am proud to be a veteran. After the Army, I became a CPA and we have lived in Chicago, IL, Scituate (Boston), MA, and Pasadena, CA. I retired from Parsons Corporation in Pasadena, CA, in 2006, as Vice President of Internal Audit for their world wide operations and eventually returned  to our home in Scituate, MA . We have two sons, a daughter and seven grandchildren. I am looking forward to seeing again that group of Brondel Hall brothers that I have been  able and fortunate to see periodically through the years, as well as to reconnect with those whom I have not seen for almost 50 years.

Retired Research Chemist Married 3 2013-04-18 17:13:32
After leaving Helena, I went to Elizabeth, N.J., where I stayed with my aunts and uncles for a while. In 1968 I joined Merck Research Labs in Rahway, New Jersey. I worked there as a Research  Chemist until my retirement in November 2008 ( 41 years). In between I moved to New York City( Greenwich Village) during the late 60s --early 70s, an exciting and dangerous time.I reverse commuted to New Jersey to work.  I met my future wife ,Sara ,who lived in the same historical aparment building, same floor. We got married in 1974 in Short Hills NJ. When she was expecting our first son, Peter, we moved to Westfield NJ., where we raised three sons We then moved back to New York City. We have a small apartment in Wall Street. In November 2009 my son David and wife Diana had twins, Andrew and Olivia. They live in Long Island, N.Y., and we see them quite often. In February 2010 my oldest son Peter and wife Severine had a daughter, Beatrice. They live in San Francisco so I have become a traveling grandpa. They always come to NYC for Christmas. My youngest son Teddy, was married to his wife Gillian in November 2011. They live in Brooklyn. We have two dogs, Maggie a Border Collie mix and Cisco, a Chihuahua.
Sara and I are enjoying our retirement in New York City. We had a rough time last fall with Hurricane Sandy.  Our apartment is just 2 blocks  from the East River, and the area near us was flooded, up to 11 feet in some parts. A lot of the area is still in very bad shape; we lost most of our favorite small restaurants. Our building was OK but we lost water and electricity for a week. Luckily our apartment is in the 3rd floor.
I am excited to see and hear from so many of the old Brondel Hall brothers. I am not sure I will be able to attend the reunion but plan to follow it on line.

RETIRED! finally Married 2 1967 2018-04-28 01:50:26
Hello again everyone!

A few months ago Silvio and Jaye invited Mike and I to join them for lunch.  I thought it was just another of our usual get togethers. Low and behold he starts talking about how grief stricken and guilty feeling about the death of a friend that most of you who played baseball knew, in fact he attended some parts of our last reunion.  Silvio express how sad he was feeling that he did not take the time to contact Ray as he lived right here in Helena. He tells me "I'm Not going to let that happen again! Therefore I want to do another Cuban Reunion".  I said ok Great! thinking to myself, "this time I'll have more time than he and Makoto gave me last Event to get things done".  Silly me thinking we had a year at least, NO.....Silvio said "THIS SUMMER"..... so here we go! Hope as many of you guys and gals can make it as we feel it may be the last time.  WE ARE FULLFILLING THE PROMISE EVERYONE WAS MAKING THE LAST TIME HERE IN HELENA, THAT WE WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN 5 YEARS.

CUSTOMS & BORDER PROTECTION Married 5 1994 2013-04-08 01:00:53
I left Helena after spending two years in Carroll College pre-med with Dr. Manion. I gave up Carroll and tried Sociology in Bozeman.  Back then, every other kid was either a Psychology or Sociology mayor in that small college town.  A high school friend, Emmett Murphy and I rented a small house until I skipped a quarter registrations, got drafted and found myself riding a Greyhound with a group of Native Americans sleeping a hangover en route to Fort Lewis, Washington.
I spent most of the next 20 years all over (except Viet Nam). During a one year break in service I married worked for Los Angeles Police Department, and ended up re-enlisting to go back to Paama.
I retired from the Army in 1989; finish a business degree in the University of the Redlands and went to work for the old INS in 1994.  I have always like all things Mexican, and have childhood  memories of Tin Tan, Pedro Infante and so on, and jumped at the opportunity to go to San Diego and the proximity to Mexico, the warm weather, and the ocean.
The old INS is now the CBP (Customs and Border Protection), and my first wife passed away to a stroke.  I have remarried (also a Mexican lady). and I am looking forward to retired next year.  My goal at the moment is to purchase a small RV and spent some time visiting places I have been to admired the changes.  I hope to attend the reunion this year. I wish all the best.

Tony Marti
Priest Widowed 1 1966 2013-05-12 23:09:29
From Tony Marti

After graduating from Carroll in 1966, I moved to Los Angeles and after three months was drafted by the Army. I spent two years in Texas and most of the time working as a Medic in a dispensary at Fort Hood, Texas. I was fortunate not to be sent to Vietnam.

A year and a half after being discharged from the Army, I married Dora on January 10, 1970 and we had a daughter, Bibi, who was born on December 22 of that year. Dora was diagnosed with brain cancer in March of 1973, and after five years and four surgeries she passed away on January, 17 1978, seven days after our eight wedding anniversary. Bibi is married to Phil Lyon (I did the wedding in 2006) and they live in San Francisco. They have a two-year and four months son (Dashiell Francis), and at the time of this write-up an almost two-week old daughter (Bianca Isadora) who was born on April 29.  I baptized Dashiell and will do the same for Bianca on June 23.

Also, after I left the Army I joined the Management Training Program of United California Bank (it became First Interstate Bank in 1981), and after completing the training was assigned to an officer credit position in the Transportation and Public Utilities Division until I moved to the International Division. In International I moved up pretty fast and eventually was promoted to Vice President, and soon after that to Senior Vice President and Manager. Over a period of sixteen years I managed at various times the Latin America, US and Canada International and the Asia Pacific and Middle East Divisions.  I traveled extensively throughout Latin America, Canada, the US and Asia Pacific. I only made one trip to the Middle East. I enjoyed meeting people of different cultures and seeing other countries. If I could be young again, I would live in Asia for five years.

As you can read under occupation I am a priest. I joined the Capuchin Franciscans and was ordained  in 1996. I have been a parish priest in Watts, the province’s vocation director and was elected Provincial by the other friars in 2002. As the provincial I was responsible for the overall Administration of the province and of all the friars in California, Oregon and Northern Mexico. I served two three- year terms. After completing my second term I was asked to become president of St. Francis High School in La Canada (near Pasadena). This is a most interesting job where I am responsible for the administration of one of the best College Preparatory Schools (over six hundred boys) in the Los Angeles area. Besides being the Head of the school and the CEO of the Corporation, what I enjoyed the most is to be a priest helping the kids, working with parents, visiting the sick, doing weddings, baptisms, funerals, hearing confessions and celebrating Mass. This is my fifth year at the school.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you again and hearing your stories. I believe it will be a most rewarding time and it will be fun. I want to thank Silvio and others for organizing the reunion. You are doing an outstanding job. Thanks also to Emilio and Mario for encouraging me to go and to take the time to write this short bio. See you all soon.

Blessings,

Tony
